For this edition, the Bogotá Audiovisual Market worked along with Campus Latino to present three special conversations with three experts of the audiovisual industry: Sarah Mosses (UK), Christian Beetz (Germany) and Jorge Caballero (Colombia).
Sarah Mosses is the founder of Together Films and will present the talk "Strategies For Impact Marketing", where she will adress some of the best practices to attain impact marketing and distribution for both documentary and fiction production. Her agency supports more than 200 filmmakers in strategizing their projects distribution impact. Some of her recent campaigns include the Oscar nomination "For Sama" and the double nominated The Tale. Christian Beetz will present "A Perfect Crime For Netflix: Case Study". Christian Beetz and his production company Gebrueder Beetz Filmproduktion have received three Grimme awards, the Prix Europa prize, the Cinema for Peace Award, the IDFA's Jury Special Award and one Oscar nomination. Beetz is a media consultor, book editor, and university professor at the Baden-Württemburg Filmakademie, and has been jury for diverse movie festivals. Beetz is a leader producer in the multimedia content development field, and his projects include the succesful interactive book The Wagner Files. He received an Emmy nomination for the ‘trimedia production’ Make Love, a 3D event crafted for radio. As the producer of A Perfect Crime, the first original documentary for Netflix Germany, he will go deep into the strategy used for the distribution of this succesful production. // Wednesday, July 28 - 10:00 am (GMT-5)
Jorge Caballero will present "Aplications Of Artificial Intelligence For Cinema And Audiovisual Media". Caballero is an expert in interactive media, cinema and artificial intelligence, and also, a professor and documentary tutor at Barcelona Autónoma University's documentary master. He also teaches an Interactive Narratives workshop at Pompeu Fabra University. He is a member of the IDFA Bertha and IDFA Forum selection committee. He has directed and produced immersive and interactive projects and movies that have been awarded and exhibited in festivals such as IDFA, SXSW, Cinema Du Reel, Visions Du Reel, among others. In this talk, he will analize A.I.'s potencial for the audiovisual industry through the analysis of tools like Runway, that allow the creation of automated script. // Friday, July 30 - 9:00 am (GMT-5)
