A my mythological beast hides behind the mask.
After eight years of being imprisoned in La Picota jail for murder, Omar will try to find someone that will assume legal responsibility to request provisional release in his name.
Minotauro is a documentary film, directed by Joaquín Uribe, that initially hoped to tell the story of Omar, an imprisoned artist accused for a murder crime. After eight years of paying his sentence, he manages to obtain a 72-hour exit permit, as part of a process to regain his freedom. What Joaquin did not expect was that throughout the two years of pre-production and filming, he would come across a person full of masks that would lead him to change the course of his original idea and even, that he would become another character in the daily life of Omar, who believes his life is part of an act.
All this has transformed the feature film into a constant ambivalence where the pretension of what is real is told and, on the other hand, the fantasies of this prisoner who relives time and the murder he committed; as well as other illusions that will be shown throughout the documentary.
"My film travels through a maze that reaches the true face of Omar".
With his participation in BAM, he hopes to find national and international co-producers, as well as a sales agent that helps him to reach different festivals and platforms.
